Sangeet

October 3, 2009

Sangeet, according to the Wikipedia, “it is a joyous occasion where the family and friends of the couple perform dances to celebrate the upcoming wedding” per Indian traditions. And this is how exactly Tanya and Vinit’s Sangeet was, joyous, full of happy energy and dancing with no abandonment. Oh, that last part was a bit exaggerated, but their friends are all pretty good dancers. Their choreographed routines brought a lot of smiles and laughter to everybody.

The Sangeet took place one day before their wedding at the Mercer Slough Environmental Center. It was a few hours of relaxed times with wedding guests, with good food and drinks. They brought out the gals from Henna Body Art to create beautiful henna tatoos for the girls.
